Oct. 20, 2011

CollegeSoccer360.com's exclusive tracking of the winningest senior classes/4-year records in Division I women's soccer now has been updated through games played as of Oct. 20, 2011 (see list below).

The Stanford senior class (84-4-4; .935) is creeping towards the rare 90-win plateau and is all-but assured of finishing as the nation's top senior class for 2008-11. North Carolina (77-9-6; .870) and slumping Notre Dame (76-13-6; .832) remain in their distant #2 and #3 spots, while Oklahoma State (68-12-9) and Denver (68-14-4) now are tied for fourth on this list. The Florida seniors (67-16-6) have moved into the #6 spot, only one win behind the Cowgirls and Pioneers – while traditional west-coast powers UCLA and Portland each have totaled 66 wins spanning the past four seasons.

Florida senior Tahnai Annis (left) already has been part of two 19-win seasons during her Gators career, while helping Florida total the 6th-most wins (67-16-6) in the nation, spanning the past four seasons (2008-11).

The Stanford senior class (79-4-4; .931) is running away from the field, now six wins clear of second-place North Carolina (73-9-5) while hard-charging Oklahoma State (66-12-8; .814) has vaulted into fourth-place and the UCLA seniors have rejoined the top tier at 64-12-6 (.817), once again one win behind west-coast rival Portland (65-10-3; .853). Despite struggling to collect wins in recent weeks, Notre Dame remains third on this list at 72-12-5 (.837).

Oklahoma State now owns the most wins in D-I women's soccer spanning the past two seasons (33-4-2; .872), one ahead of Stanford's 32-1-3 (.931). Full updates and comprehensive lists of top records for '09-'11 and '10-'11 are forthcoming on CollegeSoccer360.com.

Oklahoma State center back Melinda Mercado (above left) and the rest of the Cowgirls' senior class have steamrolled up the CS360 list of Division I soccer's top four-year records (2008-11), highlighted by a 33-4-2 tear (.872) spanning the past two seasons.

See below for complete list of the 35 programs with the most victories from 2008-11 (more regular updates of this list to come throughout the rest of the 2011 season).

Aug. 31, 2011

CollegeSoccer360.com's exclusive tracking of the winningest senior classes/4-year records in Division I women's soccer has been updated through games played as of Aug. 30, 2011 (see list below).

Forward – shown celebrating as a freshman in 2008 – has started nearly every game during the past four seasons while helping North Carolina compile a 70-7-5 record (.884) during that four-year span.Courtney Jones

North Carolina – coming off its showdown win over Notre Dame – has inched back ahead of the Irish, now owns the nation 2nd-winning senior class (70-7-5; .884), trailing only Stanford's 73-4-4 (.926) and one game ahead of ND's 69-9-3 (.870). The current Stanford seniors are 17 wins shy of becoming the 21st senior class to reach the 90-win plateau (in the 30-year history of D-1 women's soccer). Of the 20 previous senior classes to reach 90 wins, only 12 finished with a win pct. above .930. The Stanford seniors have reached the College Cup's final weekend every year of their career thus far (national runner-up in '09 and '10; '08 semifinalist).

See below for complete list of the 40-plus programs with the most victories from 2008-11.

Aug. 23, 2011

CollegeSoccer360.com's exclusive tracking of the winningest senior classes/4-year records in Division I women's soccer has been updated through the first stretch of 2011 games (including all those played Aug. 19-23).

Stanford – after rattling off 22-plus wins in each of the past three seasons – now sits atop this list, with a gaudy 72-4-3 record from 2008-11. The current Stanford seniors boast a .930 career win pct. and are 18 wins shy of becoming the 21st senior class to reach the 90-win plateau (in the 30-year history of D-1 women's soccer). Of the 20 previous senior classes to reach 90 wins, only 12 finished with a higher win pct. than the current Stanford seniors (.930), who have reached the College Cup's final weekend every year of their career thus far (national runner-up in '09 and '10; '08 semifinalist).

Senior forward Lindsay Taylor (left) has played in 78 of 79 games during her Stanford career – making 74 starts spanning a four-year run that has seen the Cardinal make three trips to the College Cup's final weekend (TBA in 2011), win 22-plus games each of the past three seasons, and amass a lofty .930 four-year win pct. from 2008-11 (72-4-3; two losses in NCAA title games, one in NCAA semifinals).

Three other current senior classes – those from Notre Dame (69-7-3; .892), North Carolina (68-7-5; .881) and Portland (61-5-2; /912) – are the only ones, along with Stanford, to have totaled more than 57 wins spanning the past four seasons.

See below for complete list of the 40-plus programs with the most victories from 2008-11.
